LAHORE / Pakistan (November 2009): A German delegation, comprising of Karsten Weltzien, Alexander Klass, Eduard Wagner, Tuesday called on Punjab Chief Minister, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and discussed matters pertaining to energy development.

Secretary Irrigation was also present on the occasion. The CM Punjab, in the meeting, said that dearth of energy was severely affecting agriculture and industry in the province.

He observed that Germans were affluent in the solar technology and they could come up with a workable plan in Punjab in this regard. The delegation reciprocated that they were interested in pursuing solar energy projects in the province.
